Planning permission was achieved for 39 dwellings on this prominent site within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The planning application initially failed to gain permission at local level and we therefore appealed the refusal by way of a Public Inquiry. The planning appeal was ‘recovered’ for decision by the Secretary of State, with the appeal inspector recommending that consent was granted for the development and the Secretary of State subsequently agreeing with this recommendation. A further delay occurred in the issuing of the planning permission, when the decision was legally challenged by Cotswold District Council. Hannick persevered with the planning application and eventually secured a planning permission following a positive result from the High Court hearing. This site was subsequently sold to Hills Homes.
